“The Unstoppable Force”​
The Stone Taniwha was the most powerful transformation of Watcher. Its hardened skin made it impervious to most physical attacks with traditional weapons – only the magically-enhanced weapons of the Aho allowed for minor penetration, but even then the damage was not enough to stop these titans. However, its immense weight made the Stone Taniwha slow and cumbersome, and it relied on trickery and patience to snare its prey.
The Stone Taniwha were not dominant in Aotearoa and very few joined in the First Taniwha War, and were extinct at the start of the Second Taniwha War.
